It seems that there may be an issue with the AutoCAD file format that you are trying to import into DIALux. Make sure that you are using a compatible file format and that the file is not corrupt. You can also try converting the AutoCAD file to a different format before importing it into DIALux.

No, Dialux is primarily designed for Windows and there is no official version of Dialux available for Mac systems.

I've installed DIALux Evo 5.1 on Windows 8.1 and it runs smoothly, but I've upgraded my OS to Windows 10 and it no longer works properly. For instance "some textures are not found" and operating display is broken specially when sky texture is applied.

The simple version of the software is not compatible with the Windows 10 operating system. I have checked the official website and it appears you can run DIALux only on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.1. As you can see there is no Windows 10 compatibility, but there is another version called EVO which is compatible with the following versions of Windows: Windows Vista SP2 (32/64 bit), Windows 7 (32/64 bit), Windows 8.1 (32/64 bit), and Windows 10 (32/64 bit).

Access the following website to find out more about it: http://www.dial.de/DIAL/en/dialux/download.html

Today I was working on a large DIALux file (a .dlx file). It suddenly went missing. I think I saved over it with another blank file. I still have a saved version as a .bak file, but do not know how to convert this to a .dlx file. Can you help?

P
Cevaplayan Pete Clapp

You have to rename the file extension from .bak to .dlx. After that, DIALux will recognize and open this file. If your file extension is not visible, you need to go at Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options > View tab. Clear the Hide extensions for known file types, check box and then click OK. Go to your file, right click on it and select Rename. Delete .bak and type .dlx instead.

I am making a design of a large building with many rooms. All the rooms have light fittings and all the calculations are set, but today I've needed to put in a new room and when I've pressed "Insert new room", the coordinates with the 4 points (you get when you start doing a room), went completely off the grid. Also, when I've come back into my other rooms to check the floor plan for the room, the light fittings went out of the building to the same position as the 4 points. This is hard to explain. Can you help me?

Unfortunately, there is no information about this error. My suggestion is to contact the support team and ask for help. You can get in touch with them using +49 (0)2351 56740 phone number or [email protected] email address. Alternatively, you could start the project all over again and add the new room at the beginning.

I'm using DIALux 4.12 on Windows 8. I made a room with various materials and furniture (built-in and downloaded from the Internet). I put the lamps after the furniture & materials. It was gone all black after calculation (0 lx everywhere). So I put the lamps before the furniture and calculated it right after I put the lamps on (before the furniture). The lamps are turned on. And then I applied the materials & furniture. But it's gone all black. How could this happen?

You will need to attend a user training because there is no information about this topic. In the training program you have the possibility to learn about software's usage and problems that might arise. To schedule for a user training, access the official website. Additionally, if you have the software installed, go to the Help section and check there. There should be an extensive guide on how to use the software.
